The MS (Electrical Engineering) program at Department of Electrical Engineering will fulfill the vision and mission of the University by providing students with necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for handling engineering research problems enabling them to:

4. Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

   PLO-1 Engineering Knowledge

Apply advance knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering for the solution of complex engineering problems.

  PLO-2 Problem Analysis:

Identify, formulate, research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusion using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.

  PLO-3 Design/Development of Solutions:

Design solution for complex engineering problems and design system, components or processes that meet specified need with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental consideration.

  PLO-4 Investigation

Investigate complex engineering problems in a methodical way including literature survey, design and conduct of experiments.

  PLO-5 Modern Tool Usage:

Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

  PLO-6 Lifelong Learning

Pursue lifelong learning in broader context of innovation and technological developments.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 16 years relevant qualification like BE / B-Tech (Hons.) / BS (4 years in relevant discipline) or any other equivalent qualification with at least 2.0 CGPA or equivalent.

Selection Criteria

  • NTS / MAJU Test + Interview
  • Admission Test / NTS GAT (General) – The admission test is exempted for those candidates who cleared NTS GAT with more than 60% marks.

Specialization Requirements

A student can claim a specialization if he/she has completed 15 Cr. Hrs. including research work, if opted, from one of these specialization areas i.e., Power and Energy Systems, Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems, Signal and Image Processing, Sensors & Communications and Engineering Management. Otherwise, on the completion of 30 Cr. Hrs., he/she will be awarded the MS Degree without any specialization.
